High-Volume Scoring Guard with Elite Playmaking for Western Carolina
Travion McCray is a 6'1" scoring guard who differentiates himself through high-intensity playmaking and the ability to elevate his team in critical moments, evidenced by a 20-point explosion against Georgia and a 26-point, 6-assist performance in a home win over Newberry [3][4]. During his 2021-22 season at Western Carolina, he averaged 11.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.4 assists while starting 4 of 11 games, showcasing a versatile all-around toolkit beyond just scoring [1]. His differentiator is his 'big-game' mentality and rebounding ability from the guard position (5.3 RPG), making him a high-fit addition for teams needing a relentless, ball-dominant leader who can create for others, though his 39.6% shooting efficiency suggests a need for improved shot selection [1].
