hard-hitting, veteran Florida linebacker with real pop
In the 2009 season, Dustin Doe was a senior linebacker for Florida who had appeared in 52 career games with 18 starts, piling up 188 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, 8 pass breakups, 2 interceptions and 2 fumble recoveries. He showed the kind of physical, instinctive style coaches love: downhill against the run, active in coverage, and willing to make impact plays in big moments, including a pick-six against Georgia in 2009 and a strong championship-game showing in 2008. The fit is obvious if you want a tough, experienced, tone-setting LB who plays with edge.
