6'6" Ace with Mid-90s Velocity and National Championship Pedigree
Lucas Davenport, Baylor's 6-foot-6 redshirt sophomore RHP, stands out with mid-90s velocity (averaging 93.6 mph) and a proven ace mentality from leading Blinn College to the 2024 NJCAA National Championship as their tournament MVP. His differentiators include elite strikeout ability (8.90 SO/9 vs. lefties, 8.49 vs. righties), exceptional control (just 23 walks in 103 innings at Blinn), and a recent complete-game performance securing Baylor's game-one victory in the 2026 NCAA tournament. Beyond stats, Davenport brings intense competitiveness, a calm clubhouse presence, and no known injury history, making him a high-intensity, reliable fit for any team needing a dominant starter who can handle pressure and deliver in critical moments.
