Howard’s Liam Allen IV brings leg strength and weekly special-teams upside
In 2025, Liam Allen IV emerged as a freshman punter for Howard with a 41.1-yard punting average over 44 punts, highlighted by a career-long 68-yard boot and a pair of MEAC Specialist of the Week honors, including one after averaging 49.7 yards per punt against North Carolina Central.[1][7][11] His profile is built on field-flipping power and consistency rather than flashy volume, which makes him valuable for a team that wants hidden-yardage wins and a young specialist with obvious room to grow.[4][13]
