Bucky McMillan’s “Bucky Ball” made him a rising coaching force
Bucky McMillan is best known as the architect of the fast, disruptive “Bucky Ball” style that turned Samford into a SoCon power, with four straight 20-win seasons, a 99-52 record in five years, and a 2024 NCAA Tournament berth. He’s praised for relentless pace, aggressive defense, and recruiting/program-building chops, plus the kind of conviction that reshaped a small-school program into a national story. If your team wants energy, identity, and a coach who brings constant pressure, he’s a loud yes.
