Ivan Thomas brings proven red-zone juice to Louisiana Tech’s tight end room
Thomas is a transfer tight end who showed real scoring punch at Hutchinson CC in the 2020-21 season with 19 catches, 351 yards and a team-best six touchdowns, then worked his way into Louisiana Tech’s 2021 rotation and special teams. His biggest appeal is not volume but efficiency: he looks like a matchup TE who can threaten underneath and finish drives when targeted. The main question for a fit is ceiling and usage, since his college stat line is still modest, but the flashes suggest a reliable, physical role player rather than a pure stat compiler.[8]
