Lamar’s ball-hawking DB with proven playmaking chops
Xavier Bethany made his name as a high-impact defensive back for Lamar, highlighted by a 2016 season with 14 interceptions in the available stat record and all-conference recognition; he also earned Defensive MVP honors at the 2016 FCS Scout Senior Bowl. The appeal is obvious: rangy ball skills, veteran instincts, and a reputation for showing up in big moments. If you want a secondary defender who can flip field position and bring some swagger, Bethany is the kind of playmaker who makes quarterbacks think twice.
