St. Thomas catcher Lucas McNellis brings power, size, and dependable defensive tools
Lucas McNellis is a right-handed catching prospect for St. Thomas who, in the 2026 season, has given the Tommies solid middle-of-the-order production with a .252 average, 3 home runs, and 17 RBI in D1Baseball’s stat line, while college splits show 37 games played and a .246/.300/.373 profile overall. He stands out for his physicality at 6'2", 220 pounds and has long been noted for quick transitions and playable pop times behind the plate, suggesting he can fit a team that values a catcher who can handle the game defensively and still offer some thump offensively.[3][5][4]
