Cooper Harris is giving Sam Houston a live-arm boost out of the bullpen
In the 2026 season, Sam Houston freshman RHP Cooper Harris has flashed real bat-missing ability and late-game poise, striking out 3 in 2.0 relief innings against Lamar with no walks and later earning a save in the win over McNeese[1][2]. At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, the Friendswood, Texas, right-hander gives the Bearkats a sturdy frame, a starter’s build, and the kind of strike-throwing relief profile teams love to bet on[1][3]. He looks like a useful fit if you want upside, size, and competitiveness over instant polish—think projectable arm, not finished product[1][2].
