Mercer Bears' Athletic Forward with Elite Measurables (Class of 2007-08)
Sam Dolan, a 6-9 forward for the Mercer Bears, posted solid career averages of 6.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 0.8 assists on 51.3% FG efficiency during the 2007-08 season, showcasing his rebounding tenacity and efficient scoring inside. What sets him apart are freakish athletic traits from high school scouting—like a 4.1-second 40-yard dash, 36-inch vertical, 270-lb bench, and 540-lb squat—translating to explosive intensity and physical dominance rare for bigs. No notable injury history; his gritty, high-motor personality makes him a reliable role player. Care factor: Underrated gem for teams needing versatile frontcourt depth. Perfect fit for mid-major or developmental programs valuing athletic upside over flash.
