High-Intensity Walk-On Guard with a 27-Point Career Peak
Amari Hamilton is a high-intensity, walk-on guard for North Carolina A&T whose differentiator is his explosive scoring bursts, highlighted by a career-high 27 points in a 2019 home win, despite averaging modest 5.2 PPG and 35.6% FG in his career. Born in Durham, NC, Hamilton enters games with a relentless, underdog mentality that elevates team energy, making him a perfect fit for teams needing a gritty, intensity-driven backup guard who can steal moments rather than dominate seasons. While his stats show limited volume (0.7 APG, 1.2 RPG), his personality and 2018-19 potential as a developing strong guard suggest he thrives in high-pressure, short-burst roles where his intensity outweighs his statistical footprint.
