Joseph Lee has emerged as Samford’s workhorse righty with swing-and-miss stuff
In the 2026 season, Samford senior Joseph Lee has paired a 1-0 record with a 3.45 ERA, a team-leading 26 strikeouts, and a complete-game, one-hit shutout gem at Western Carolina that earned him SoCon Pitcher of the Week honors.[2][6] At 6-foot-6, he brings a heavy right-handed frame, starter’s durability, and enough strike-throwing to attack lineups deep into games—plus he’s shown he can rebound from a rocky outing and still give Samford a real chance to win.[1][3][10]
