NIU’s iron-man guard and ball-hawking floor general
Travon Baker is the kind of guard coaches love: durable, steady, and disruptive. In his NIU career, he never missed a game, finished as the Huskies’ all-time steals leader with 184, and ranked second in school history with 357 assists, with a strong 2015-16 season that included 3.7 assists per game and 1.4 steals per game. The big differentiator is two-way reliability—he can run an offense, pressure the ball, and bring veteran toughness, which makes him a fit for teams that value poise, defense, and dependable minutes over flash.
