Cole Blackwell brings swing-and-miss lefty value to Louisiana Tech’s bullpen
In the 2025 season at Louisiana Tech, Cole Blackwell made 16 appearances and 11 starts, posting a 4.90 ERA across 71.2 innings with 64 strikeouts and 32 earned runs allowed; at Meridian CC before Tech, he struck out 80 batters in 64.2 innings and was noted for multiple high-strikeout outings. He’s a 6-foot-2, 200-pound left-hander who profiles as a competitive, strikeout-oriented arm with starter upside, and that kind of bat-missing profile can play anywhere. The fit question is simple: if you want a tough lefty who can attack hitters and give innings, he’s interesting.
