Grambling’s Ball-Hawking, Game-Turning CB
In the 2024 season, Blake Davis emerged as one of Grambling State’s most impactful defenders, finishing with 41 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, 2.0 sacks, three interceptions, a fumble recovery, and a blocked kick; that production helped earn preseason All-SWAC recognition and an HBCU defensive back award watch list nod for 2025. What makes him pop is the two-way disruption: he tackles like a safety, tracks the ball like a vet, and has already shown he can flip momentum with splash plays. He looks like a strong fit for a defense that wants a physical, instinctive corner with playmaking juice.
