Pitt DL Maverick Gracio brings disruptive pass-rush upside and special-teams juice
Gracio is a long, explosive edge defender at 6-foot-4 and about 245–255 pounds who flashed in 2024 by appearing in four games and making one of Pitt’s biggest hidden plays of the year: a blocked punt in the 38-34 win over West Virginia.[5][1] His high school tape backs up the upside, with 34 sacks over his final two seasons and a senior line of 58 tackles, 22 sacks and two forced fumbles, showing real pass-rush finish and backfield disruption.[5][3] He looks like a developmental fit for a team that values length, effort and special-teams impact while his snap count and college production are still early.[5][1]
