Tyrese Whitaker is a rising Temple linebacker with local grit and edge-setting upside
Tyrese Whitaker is a Philadelphia native and former three-star recruit who has grown into Temple’s linebacker rotation, bringing a sturdy 6-foot-2, 230-pound frame, hybrid edge/outside-linebacker versatility, and a reputation for playing with real urgency. In the 2025 season, he logged 11 tackles and 1 sack, including a career-high 4 tackles against East Carolina, while also earning his first career start at Georgia Tech. The fit is appealing if you want a tough, homegrown defender who can rush, set the edge, and play with a chip on his shoulder.
