FAU’s volume-hungry, all-purpose chain-mover
Easton Messer enters 2026 as one of FAU’s most proven weapons after a 2025 breakout: he caught 104 passes for 1,052 yards and 6 touchdowns, ranking second and third in single-season program history in those categories, respectively. He’s not just a slot-body catcher either — FAU notes he’s the first Owl to record a passing, rushing, and receiving touchdown in the same season, and he also owns the program’s best career punt-return average at 20.80 yards. In the opener at Florida, he posted 7 catches for 73 yards, then erupted for 8 grabs, 179 yards, and 2 scores versus Navy, which screams “feed me the ball.”
