Cyrie Coates

Cyrie Coates brings size, experience, and steady backcourt utility to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi

Coates is a 6-foot-6 guard who gives the Islanders a long, versatile perimeter body with veteran college experience and a reputation for doing the little things that keep lineups functional. In his Texas A&M-Corpus Christi stint, he has shown he can chip in offensively in short bursts, while earlier college stops list him as a steady scorer who could reach double figures and start games. The fit is intriguing if you want a bigger guard who can defend multiple spots, handle matchups, and add toughness rather than pure shot-creation.
