Payton Allen brings two-way versatility and mound reliability to Grambling
Allen is a versatile right-hander who can also help offensively, giving Grambling a multi-use roster piece rather than a one-dimensional arm. At Kansas in 2022, he logged 20.0 innings with a 4.95 ERA and 11 strikeouts, and across his college career he has shown enough athletic value to earn starts both on the mound and in the field. The big differentiator is flexibility: if you need matchup innings, emergency depth, or a player who can handle multiple roles without shrinking in the moment, Allen fits that mold well.[4][2][5]
