Matt Halvorsen brings FGCU a proven **deadly catch-and-shoot guard**
Halvorsen is a **high-IQ, floor-spacing guard** who arrived at FGCU after a strong Western Carolina career, where he set the school’s career record for made 3-pointers (297) and finished with more than 1,000 points. In the 2021-22 season, he averaged 11.6 points, 3.3 rebounds, led his team in assists, and shot 86.4% from the free-throw line, showing a polished, reliable skill set that fits cleanly into winning lineups. If you need a guard who can stretch defenses, make smart reads, and stay steady under pressure, he’s the type of transfer worth caring about.[1][6]
