Kristian Pugh is a proven playmaking safety with All-America upside
Kristian Pugh is coming off a 2025 breakout for Lamar, leading the team with 89 tackles, tying for the Southland lead with 4 interceptions, and earning third-team STATS Perform FCS All-America honors[3]. He has the feel of a high-impact defensive back who shows up against top competition, including a key pick in Lamar’s upset of No. 4 South Dakota[3]. At 5'11" and about 182 pounds, he brings steady production, ball skills, and enough range to project as a reliable starter and tone-setter for a defense[2][3].
