Northwestern’s 6-foot-5 projectable righty Colton Cravens brings big upside, even before the stat line catches up
Cravens is a first-year RHP at Northwestern who arrived with a real pedigree: Perfect Game tagged him the No. 1 pitcher in Kentucky, and Northwestern notes he went 1.08 ERA in his senior season at Trinity while helping win a state title. At 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds, he fits the classic power-pitcher frame, and reporting from Northwestern’s own preseason coverage says his fastball could climb into the upper 90s as he develops. He’s more long-term upside than instant stat-sheet monster, so if you want a high-ceiling arm with pro-style traits, he’s an interesting stash.
