DJ Greene brings size and upside, but Purdue’s freshman DB is still in evaluation mode
In the 2025 season, DJ Greene redshirted and did not appear in any games for Purdue, so the clearest read is about his profile rather than production: a 6-foot-3, 210-pound redshirt freshman safety/DB with uncommon length and developmental upside. Purdue lists him as an active defensive back, but there’s no public game log to point to yet, which makes him more of a bet on frame, athletic potential, and future special-teams or coverage value than proven impact. If you want a long, physical defensive back to mold, he’s intriguing; if you need instant results, he’s still a project.
