intriguing righty with SEC-sized upside, but health is the headline
In the 2024 season, DJ Hardrick appeared in five games for Jackson State, posting a 13.50 ERA over 4.2 innings with four strikeouts, and his 2026 roster listing shows him as a 5'6", 175-pound right-handed pitcher. The biggest differentiator here is raw projection: he’s a compact RHP who can add depth to a staff if healthy, but Jackson State’s roster notes also flag a season-ending preseason injury, so availability is the real swing factor. If your team values upside, toughness, and a low-risk bullpen flyer, he’s worth a look.
