Southern Utah freshman Antonio Walton brings verified speed and upside to the Thunderbirds' receiver room
Antonio Walton enters the 2026 season as a promising Southern Utah wideout with a compact 5'10", 160-pound frame, strong prep pedigree, and speed-first upside that the Thunderbirds specifically highlighted when he signed in 2025. He starred at Cathedral High School, where he was a three-year contributor, earned 1st Team All-Angelus League honors, and finished with more than 1,500 receiving yards, 12 receiving touchdowns, and 2,675 all-purpose yards. His appeal is clear: quickness, versatility, and playmaking juice. The caveat is that publicly available 2026 college production is still limited, so he looks more like a high-upside fit than an instant-stat-lock.
