Big-12-tested bullpen arm with strikeout pop and room to grow
In the 2025 season, Cincinnati right-hander Brendin Oliver showed real bullpen upside: he appeared in 9 games, struck out 17 batters in 14.0 innings, and even picked up a save, but the rough 10.93 ERA shows the command-and-consistency jump to the Big 12 is still in progress. His appeal is the frame and the swing-and-miss flashes—6-foot-3 with a live arm and enough strikeout ability to miss bats—plus experience working in relief against higher-level competition. If you want a developmental RHP with late-inning ingredients and toughness, he’s intriguing; if you need instant polish, not quite yet.
