Orlandus McLaurin brings ball-hawking upside and veteran grit to Alcorn State's secondary
Orlandus McLaurin is a senior-graduate defensive back whose 2025 season showed real playmaking value: 29 total tackles, 1 interception, 1 forced fumble, and 2 pass breakups, including a 72-yard pick-six. His game stands out less for flashy volume than for timing, physicality, and turnover juice — the kind of DB who can change a drive with one snap. At 5-foot-11 and 204 pounds, he looks like a sturdy, experienced fit for teams that want a dependable, high-energy back-end defender with special-teams toughness and a nose for impact plays.
