Marylou Piazza gives Iona a versatile two-way look with steady bat-to-ball production
Piazza’s value is her **versatility**: the 5-foot-11 righty can help Iona as both a pitcher and outfielder, and in 2026 she appeared in 24 games with 11 starts while hitting .188 with 6 hits, 3 doubles and 3 RBIs. Her profile suggests a player who can cover multiple roster needs, but the run prevention side needs refinement after an 8.87 ERA and 0-2 record in 2026. She also earned **MAAC All-Academic Team** honors, which points to reliability and coachability beyond the stat line.
