Pooh Lawton is Temple’s steady, tackling-first safety with ball-hawking upside
In the 2025 season, Pooh Lawton brought reliable production and playmaking to Temple’s secondary, finishing with 18 tackles and 1 interception in available stat tracking while showing he can translate small-school success to the FBS level. He transferred in after a strong 2024 at Slippery Rock, where he started all 14 games and posted 36 tackles, 3 interceptions, 4 pass breakups, and a forced fumble. At 5-foot-11, 175 pounds, he’s a competitive, instincts-driven safety whose value shows up in angles, anticipation, and consistency more than pure size.
