Charlotte’s lefty swing-and-miss weapon with ace flashes
In the 2026 season, Chayse Oxborrow has already shown why Charlotte trusts him in big moments: he earned American Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week honors after a six-inning, one-hit, 12-strikeout shutout of No. 11 Virginia, and he’s also logged multiple double-digit strikeout stretches while taking on quality competition. His calling card is bat-missing stuff from the left side, with the kind of intensity that can change a game fast; the only real caution is consistency, since some outings have been shaky against pressure. If you want upside and strikeout punch, he’s very interesting.
