Anahi Castillo brings pop and clutch upside behind the plate for CSUB
Anahi Castillo, a 5-foot-11 catcher at Cal State Bakersfield, is a power-leaning transfer who arrived after a strong freshman year at Reedley College, where she hit .369 with 9 home runs, 40 RBI, and 31 walks in the 2024 season. In the 2026 season, she has shown flashes of run-producing ability, including a three-RBI double against CSUN on March 14, 2026, though her overall batting line has been modest. What makes her intriguing is the combo of size, discipline, and middle-of-the-order upside; if your team wants a catcher with real pop and toughness, she’s worth a hard look.
