Luke Riggs is a live-arm Oakland reliever with bat-missing upside
In the 2026 season, Oakland right-hander Luke Riggs has flashed real bullpen bite: he has delivered clean innings against Georgia and Northern Kentucky, including a 1.1-inning outing with 3 strikeouts and no hits allowed, plus a scoreless inning with a strikeout against Georgia.[3][7][9] At 5'11" and 145 pounds, he’s an undersized-but-wiry S/R pitcher who appears to win with competitiveness, strike throwing, and quick relief bursts rather than overpowering size.[5][8] He’s a fit for a team that values toughness, flexibility, and a low-drama reliever who can get swing-and-miss when his command is on.[4][5]
