Experienced Dayton catcher with glove-first value and elite-team grit
In the 2025 season, Madelyn Fricano missed competition via medical redshirt, but her Dayton track record shows a reliable, defense-minded catcher who has handled meaningful innings, including 27 putouts in 2023 and 27 putouts with two assists in 2024. She also brings continuity and accountability—Dayton recognized her on the 2024-25 Atlantic 10 Commissioner’s Honor Roll. The fit is clear: she profiles as a steady, high-character backstop who can help a staff, manage the game, and add depth, even if her recent offensive output has been limited.
