Fordham's James Conway: NCAA DI Tackles King with 595 Career Stops & 2025's 13.3 Tackles/Game Leader
James Conway, Fordham's grad student LB, shattered NCAA DI career tackles record at 595 in 2025, topping Troy's Carlton Martial's 577, while setting a Fordham single-season mark with 159 tackles (13.3/game, #1 nationally), 6 TFL, 3 sacks, 1 INT; a 5x All-Patriot League honoree and multi-year captain, he's a tackling machine with elite processing speed, leadership, and academics (2025 Patriot League Scholar-Athlete of the Year, Campbell Trophy finalist). Injury-limited in 2024 (49 tackles in 4 games), his relentless intensity makes him a plug-and-play NFL ILB prospect for run-stuffing defenses.
