Rex Henderson is giving New Orleans a steady, strike-throwing senior arm
In the 2026 season, New Orleans right-hander Rex Henderson has been a dependable rotation piece: 2-0 with a 3.71 ERA, 12 strikeouts in 17.0 innings, and a four-inning shutout start against Mississippi Valley State that set the tone for a 14-0 win. At 6-foot-4, he brings a starter’s frame, composure, and enough early-season consistency to help stabilize weekends and midweeks alike. The upside is not flashy velocity hype; it’s command, competitiveness, and giving the Privateers a chance to win when he takes the ball.
