App State's Compact Powerhouse RB with Elite Burst and Untapped Upside
Kanye Roberts, App State's 5-11, 190-pound dynamo, exploded for 696 rushing yards and 7 TDs at 5.7 YPC in the 2023 season before a dip to 332 yards and 1 TD on 82 carries (4.0 YPC) in 2024, likely sharing the backfield[1][2]. His differentiator? Explosive big-play ability—37-yard dashes, 25-yard power runs, and HS national records of 3,511 yards/64 TDs—paired with kick return zip (162 yards)[1][3][5]. Labeled a 'hidden gem' by analysts for his elusiveness and grit, no major injury flags, he's a high-motor fit for teams craving versatile, chain-moving backs who thrive in committees[7]. Watch him: NFL scouts are circling.
