6'10 Sophomore Spark with Elite Floor-Spacing and High-Intensity Drive
Jess Esso Essis, a 6'10 sophomore guard/forward for Cal Poly, delivers elite floor-spacing with 55.6% FG efficiency and 33.3% 3PT in his 2026 Big West debut against UC Riverside, scoring 13 points in just 21 minutes. His differentiator is a rare blend of French first-division experience and high-intensity, confident play that thrives off defensive rotations and kick-outs. After rehabbing from a season-opening injury in 2025, he returned with 12 points and 4 rebounds in 17 minutes, showing resilience and a 90% FT rate. His personality is driven, adaptable, and fiercely competitive—making him a perfect fit for teams needing a versatile, spacing-forward with NBA Draft eligibility in 2027.
