Owen Harper brings a sturdy lefty frame and real strike-throwing upside to WSU
Harper, a 6-foot-4 left-hander, arrives at Washington State after two productive junior-college seasons and a strong prep track record, including a 6-1 mark, 3.33 ERA, and 67 strikeouts in 70.1 innings in 2025, plus All-ACCAC and all-region honors. He also showed bat-missing ability in high school with 37 strikeouts in 29 innings and a 1.45 ERA. The draw here is the combination of size, recent success, and a proven starter’s workload; he looks like a potential rotation piece if his command and development keep trending the right way.
