Chase Taylor is Michigan’s rising, do-it-all linebacker with breakout buzz
In the 2025 season, Chase Taylor appeared in 10 games for Michigan and logged 10 tackles while working mostly on special teams, and in 2026 he’s being flagged as a breakout candidate for a thinner linebacker room. What makes him interesting isn’t just the stat line: the 6-foot-2, 237-pound sophomore was a high-upside three-star recruit, has a reputation for physicality and fundamentals, and showed enough versatility in high school to hint at more than a one-down-role future. If your team wants a tough, developing LB with upside, he’s a yes.
