Zach Edwards brings mid-90s heat and strikeout punch to Oregon State’s bullpen
In the 2026 season, Zach Edwards emerged as a high-upside right-handed reliever for Oregon State, working 25.2 innings with 37 strikeouts and a 5.61 ERA while handling late-inning leverage and earning a spot on the Stopper of the Year watch list.[7][13] What makes him interesting is the swing-and-miss stuff: reports describe a 95-96 mph cutter that can touch 99, plus a mid-80s slider that piles up whiffs.[7] If your team wants an arm with power, bat-missing traits, and closer-type intensity, he’s the kind of pitcher worth betting on.[7][9]
