lefty depth arm with Cal Poly upside and bite
Caden Pearlman is a 6-foot-3, left-handed pitcher for Cal Poly who has already shown he can survive in real college traffic, including a 2025 season in which he posted a 7.50 ERA over 6.0 innings across 5 appearances, then enters 2026 as a redshirt sophomore with another year of development in the tank. The appeal is the left-on-left value, the size, and the early high-school résumé—he struck out 71 batters in 60 innings as a senior at La Costa Canyon—while the concern is obvious: he’s still proving command and consistency at the Division I level. Good fit if you want a projectable southpaw who could grow into useful situational innings.
