Big-framed BYU freshman QB with developmental upside
Geilman is a 6-4, 220-225-pound freshman quarterback from Bountiful, and BYU brought him into the 2026 spring roster as a deep-room addition rather than an immediate depth-chart mover. His build is the obvious calling card: he already has the size to withstand college football punishment, and his high-school production showed a dual-threat touch, with 1,157 passing yards, 7 passing TDs, 317 rushing yards, and 4 rushing TDs in 10 games in 2022. The fit is more “future project with tools” than instant-impact starter, but that frame-and-mobility combo is worth keeping an eye on.
