Erika Barela is giving Bakersfield a timely spark in the outfield
In the 2026 season, Erika Barela has been one of Cal State Bakersfield’s steadier run-producers, hitting .281 with a .368 on-base percentage and 11 RBI, including a big April stretch where she batted .400 with 4 RBI and extra-base pop. She profiles as a senior outfielder who can come through in pressure spots, as shown by clutch RBI work in key games, and her value goes beyond the box score: she brings experience, versatility, and a knack for timely contact that helps a lineup breathe.
