Kate Schell brings versatile depth and a defensive-first profile to Akron
Schell is a **multi-position utility option** for Akron, listed as a 5'7" right-handed athlete who can cover outfield and infield spots, which makes her valuable when a roster needs flexibility and insurance across the diamond.[1][3] Her recruiting profile lists a **63 mph overhand throw**, a useful indicator of arm strength for a utility defender.[1] Publicly available Akron roster information does not include detailed 2026 game stats, so the clearest takeaway is her fit: a versatile, roster-stabilizing player who can help with lineup depth, defensive coverage, and late-season adjustments.[3]
