Andrew Wallen brings North Carolina a prototype power arm with room to grow
At 6-foot-7 and 245 pounds, Andrew Wallen is the kind of right-handed pitcher who stands out immediately for his size, mound presence, and projection; North Carolina lists him as a RHP who did not appear for the Diamond Heels, while his prep resume included All-State honors in 2023 and 2024 and Conference Player of the Year in 2023. That combination suggests a high-upside arm with physicality and competitiveness, but with limited verified college production so far, he looks more like a developmental bet than an instant-stat impact add.[3][1]
