Trey Mandina brings bat-first value and veteran catcher grit to CSUB
In the 2025 season at Chandler-Gilbert CC, Trey Mandina hit .352 and earned Second-Team All-Conference and Second-Team All-Region honors, then arrived at Cal State Bakersfield as a physical, right-handed-hitting catcher with a reputation for producing and leading from behind the plate. CSUB’s staff specifically highlighted his all-conference 2025 season and his ability to handle the catcher position, which matters because that combo usually means toughness, game-calling, and some sneaky pop. He looks like a fit for a team that wants a grown-up presence, not just a glove.
