Lefty depth arm with swing-and-miss flashes for Wright State
In the 2025 season, Caleb Ehling logged 14 relief appearances for Wright State, posting a 19-strikeout line in 15.1 innings while working exclusively out of the bullpen and finishing with a 3-inning season high against Milwaukee in the Horizon League Championship[2]. He’s a compact 6-foot-1 left-hander with a starter’s look but a bullpen role, and the eye-catching part is the strikeout ability: he recorded at least one K in 11 outings and punched out three in back-to-back appearances against Northern Kentucky and Kent State[2]. He’s more “useful matchup weapon” than finished product right now, but the whiff potential makes him a real fit if a staff wants a developing southpaw with bite[1][2].
