Big-armed Xavier sophomore still learning to miss bats at the college level
In the 2026 season, Jack DeTienne has been a high-upside but inconsistent right-hander for Xavier, posting a 10.93 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 28.0 innings and a 0-5 record.[2][14] His calling card remains projection and arm talent: a 6-foot-2, 185-pound RHP who was a top Wisconsin prep prospect, with reports of a fastball up to the mid-90s and a quality breaking ball.[1][3][6] If your staff wants a developmental arm with real velocity and starter/relief versatility, he’s intriguing; if you need instant polish, he’s still a work in progress.[1][4]
