Jalen Buckley is WMU’s heavy-duty, big-play engine at RB
In the 2025 season, Jalen Buckley powered Western Michigan’s ground game with 829 rushing yards and 8 rushing touchdowns, then returned for 2026 as a redshirt senior and a Maxwell Award Watch List selection.[8][9] He’s a sturdy 5-foot-11, 225-pound runner with proven workload ability, career production of 2,716 rushing yards and 29 total touchdowns, and the kind of downhill style that helps a team control tempo.[2][11] The catch: his 2025 efficiency dipped at times and he’s best when the blocking is on schedule, but his durability, experience, and nose for finishing runs make him a strong fit for teams wanting a physical, dependable RB1.[8][11]
